Black Lives Matter and all that.

The past few months has shown a renewed interest in the racism, the black experience in many countries.

I am an artist, am I an artist who is black? A black artist meaning I only make art featuring black people! Many white artist do what could be called ethnic influenced art. Should they too be called black artist? Minority artist. Female too, so I'm a black female artist, oh and from the UK. 

So many titles and labels

I reworked some self portraits to illustrate the time scale of the murder of George Floyd.

My face pushed against the ground the viewer sees what would not be possible to see. The other side. Uncomfortable viewing this whole episode has had, it has left a deep effect on all.
